Description
The Lear Fusion Detector Simulator is used to determine if an inoperative line is due to the detector of the electronic equipment that processes the detector signal outputs.
When plugged into the detector cable as a replacement for the detector, or plugged directly into the back of the console, the simulator introduces a specific size bead signal and HVC fault current into the system. If these two simulated conditions are correctly shown on the monitor, all electronic functions, including the console, pc, software, and pci cables for that line channel have been tested and are okay. The problem is the detector itself or the long detector cable when the simulator is plugged directly into the back of the console.
